Somewhat of a weird issue, but place a double door down, then have a lantern (even some other mods' lanterns work, like the Gold Lantern from Charm) in your main hand and right click on the doors. It only opens 1 of the doors for some reason:

Do you have Supplementaries? That might be trying to place the block so it cancels the event
