With the "variant ___" options enabled it is impossible to craft chests, ladders and bookshelves using woods from the BYG mod. It would be nice if the default chest was still craftable with non-vanilla woods while keeping the variants on.

You can craft the default chest by mixing two woods, alternatively you can install Every Compat.
