Changing quark config in game and outside game does not change anything

Title. I disable mods in the in-game menu, I check the config file which changed to reflect those changes that I made, the game does not reflect those changes.
I attempt to disable the 'ancient wood' feature, for example. I disable this in the config inside the game, then I check the quark-common.toml file, and the "Ancient Wood" line in the file has changed to reflect it.
Then I restart the game, I check inside the creative inventory and... it's still there.

My mods are: image and my version is 1.19.2.

hm would need investigating. Does changing the config manually work though?

if by that you mean directly editing quark-common.toml, no. I tried setting 'Gravisand = false', tested it and no change. It still shows up.

so the changes stay in the config but the blocks still shows up in creative?

No, I can take the gravisand out of the creative inventory, place it into the world, power it etc. If the issue cited only refers to items, this refers to all of the features. If it instead refers to the disabled features only showing in the inventory, this is not that as I already explained. If this refers to the disabling of specific features as intentionally nonfunctional, why have it there at all?

Configs prevent features from being craftable/accessible in survival. To check if they have taken effect see if you can craft that particular item
