i compared a weapon and my game crashed. i do have https://www.curseforge.com/minecraft/mc-mods/equipment-compare which might be the issue. for that version I am using 1.19.2-forge-1.3.2

I'm having the same error while comparing a Forgotten Hat with a Thief's Hood from Environmental, although I don't have the Equipment Compare mod like the OP.

EDIT: actually, the Forgotten Hat's tooltip works just fine. It's the hood's tooltip that crashes the game.

I'm having the same issue while hovering over the weapons in the inventory, I disabled the feature in the config as well but am still experiencing the crash. (Note: I do not have the equipment compare mod like the OP as well.)

EDIT: It seems that it crashes with certain modded weapons and armor, nothing vanilla or quark.

As reported here, I have the same issue with Quark 3.4-401 while comparing. Also I have this two mods on my custom modpack.

It happens when I compare a vanilla armor/weapon but those are dropped or created from other mods, with custom names/stats.

EDIT: Crashed after looking at this weapon which I think is a vanilla edited of Aquamirae mod.
