I tested it and indeed it's quark, this doesn't happen without it, furthermore IE ladders are not tagged as quark:ladders, but tagging them doesn't fix the problem.

The code for detecting if ladders can survive should ignore non quark tagged ladders IMO

yeah I think so, prolly what added the ladders not breaking whilst in the air? in either case this should be closed I think
