I really wish there was a keybind for unequipping the shield in 1.9. It gets in the way of building and using some other tools.

F switches your current item and and your off hand. Which would make the shield block ALL the time. I would like to still be able to hold right click to place blocks, but the shield disables that. If you have a keybind to unequip the shield, then you can go about your day.

This might be worth suggesting to McJty/CombatHelp instead, as that mod already adds a keybind that does the opposite.
