I don't know if it has something to do with my game and not the mod, but after installing the mod, I didn't get those popups where it tells you all the things you can make with something.

For example, when you mine cobblestone, a little bar pops up in the top right showing you the tools and blocks you can make with the cobblestone and how to make them.

Both in creative and survival, I haven't gotten that bar at all. I searched through all the settings, both the mod and the normal game settings. I'm just wondering if that was intentional?

Also, if it helps a little (I'm not sure if this is the reason for my problem), when I do load into a new world, that bar pops up, flashing many things. Is that the same as the normal recipe bar?

yes this is a quark feature, it automatically unlocks all recipes at the start of a world, if you want to disable it, set "Automatic Recipe Unlock" to false in the tweaks module
