worked out it had conflicts with good old pvp mod and blood arsenal when starting up O_O

It looks like Good Old PVP removes one of the vanilla enchantments (probably sharpness) for its own version, without using reflection to set the value in net.minecraft.init.Enchantments.

That's only a temporary solution, though.

Note: Good ol' PvP enchantments can be disabled in the config file (oldpvp.cfg) by changing B:enableOldEnchantments=true to B:enableOldEnchantments=false
