At the moment, this setting seems to be forced upon players by the server, as it's the one doing the actual restocking? As someone who's always hated Inventory Tweaks and it's many ways of messing with my inventory in addition to being in pretty much every pack, ... not being able to turn it off is quite frustrating.

This is most annoying when using the scroll wheel to move just one or two blocks into the hotbar to place down, only to be greeted by the rest following them after they got placed. Also it rearranges items in your hotbar.

If you could add a mode where it would only pull down items in the same column above the restocked item, that would make me happy. Not sure if I can explain what I mean too well, but this functionality used to be in RedPower 2 and I also implemented it in copycore at some point.

(Basically, if you had your hotbar with stone bricks, another two stacks directly above it, it would pull the bottom stack in your inventory into the hotbar and the top stack down into the bottom's slot. If there was a break in the column, such as a different item or an empty slot, it wouldn't affect items above that, even if they were of the same type.)

5.5 years later.. this is ?"still"? a issue?
tested on ATM 8.

default config has the setting on.
Server settings overrode the local/client.
when a pickaxe broke another would be put in its place!
