Ignored Recipes list doesn't seem to do anything.

I tried as many forms of item ID as I could find.

Wool still shows up in the recipe book.

Did you make sure to create a new world after adding the blacklist? I doubt there is code to remove the recipe, just to unlock it

Yes, I tried restarting the game and starting a new world.

You need to include the recipe IDs, which JEI can show you. The one you were looking for in this case is minecraft:string_to_wool
