I was mining with a few Stone Pickaxes. When one of them broke, it didn't auto-restock properly for some reason. Also, one of my other stone pickaxes changed the durability bar to appear as if it had no durability. When I actually mined with it, it switched back to near-full durability.

I do not believe this is an intended feature.
