Frog swarms in caves kill server tps

Upon examining severe server lag with LagGoggles by Terminator_NL I found out that large amount of frogs spawned in caves took way too long to process. When frogs are killed via /kill @e[type=quark:frog] server lag is eliminated

Here's log

P.S. Looks like I'm not the only one having this problem

Issue source identified.
Stonelings.
That can (and do) spawn riding frogs, especially on Wednesdays. Then despawn and leave the frog behind.

FTB Revelation 3.1.0 server
after teleporting them to me and then killing them all i picked up 2k frog legs, not sure how many frogs that equates to but it equates to 15tps.
I'm having trouble booting my server if I disable frogs in the config, not sure what I'm doing wrong.

Thank you, I love the mod otherwise <3

It appears to be 1.5-168.jar

Someone helped me get the server running (i'm a noobie server runner hah) I needed to write /fml confirm to get it to continue.

Just for giggles, attached is the frogs that were under my base, I teleported them to me heh.

Weirdly enough, I had this problem and was running r1.6-177. Not sure why though.

I was wondering why I was getting lag in certain places... there was a frog swarm in a cave I was near and using the command that Malien listed brought back my framerate.

Hi there, I have this problem as well, but they only spawn when I enter the cave, and spawn in packs of 20+ at every turn I take.

I feel like the frogs are just a little too over board lol, they cause server and sound lag continuously.
I cant use the /kill command because i'm playing with cheats off and its made my world virtually unplayable.

To people who are affected by this, can I have a copy of your quark config as well as the modlist? If you're playing on modpack I'd like to know which one too.

Here is modlist
Here is config

Had to pull out older configs as we disabled frogs for the time being. Thanks for making quark so configurable btw

I was also having this problem. Frog spawns dragged my server down to 5 TPS. Disabling frog spawn in the config fixed this entirely.

I noticed more and more "server can't keep up" log entries and used LagGoogle to find out what was going on. Saw many frog entities and decided to teleport to them. I was shocked.. so many frogs! Hundreds! In every cave around my base. Should've made a video ;)
Disabling Frogs in quark.cfg "solved" the problem for now.

@Vazkii Huh, I was wondering what was causing my singleplayer world to lag like hell. I'll try disabling those Wednesday frogs and see if things improve. Thought it was Ancient Warfare 2 or Electroblob's Wizardry.

Edit: Seems that those frogs are a problem, even in r1.6-177. Might need to make them obey spawn caps, so they don't spawn in obscenely large numbers EVERYWHERE.

Same thing's happening to me...it isn't really causing much lag, but I think they might be preventing Stonelings spawns (stopped founding any once updated).
Probably not related, but Crabs aren't spawning at all either

I have the same issue on my server running FTB Revelation 3.4.0 with Quark r1.6-177. After killing all frogs in one base the time per tick went from ~50ms to ~20ms. According to LagGoggles, every frog takes about ~100us each which is not far from regular mobs (cows, sheep, ...) but the problem is the huge amount of them that spawn in caves.

Attached is a screenshot where all the red lines in the floor is a frog.
