Problem: basically, dungeons spawned in midair like this and this. Is that supposed to happen? It's not game breaking but i think a big chunk of floating dungeons like that looks ugly nevertheless. To not mention the intersection between allowed and ocean biomes seen in this pic and this other one.
I also gives me few small : why not make an upper part of a dungeon that might appear on the surface and make them generated rarely? Why not implement Quark stone variants on the structures (even if it would require reworking structure pieces, it's just an idea)? I also wish there was a little more structure variety with them, but besides these small things, i like them and they don't even look OP with loots either. The upper part also looked beautiful with shaders (pic), i just wish it was a proper building and not a big floating chunk of it.
I'll just address this point by point.
- Dungeons spawn over the surface
Dungeons attempt not to spawn over the surface whenever possible, but in the case the dungeon is tall enough that it doesn't fit, it may happen. I lowered the max dungeon size in the latest update to try and alleviate the issue, but since there's a lot of vertical pieces, it's naturally bound to happen sometimes.
- Weird borders in oceans
That's a bug for sure, I'll have it sorted out soon.
- Having a special upper part
This runs into the same issue of the dungeon potentially being too tall unfortunately.
- Using quark block variants
Because of how modular quark is, this isn't doable, jigsaw blocks just don't have that ability
- More structure variety
I agree, more types of pieces would always be good, I'm sure more can be added over time.
