[1.12] Conflict with Sign Buttons mod

I just recently started a modded map, and two mods involved were Quark (Obviously) and Sign Buttons. I didn't exactly need Quark, but I like certain aesthetic things about the mod and some bigger components as well. What I did need was Sign Buttons, but the issue is that Quark treats it like a regular sign and so, you try and press it and it still activates like a button, but you start editing the sign. This isn't a massive issue, but is there any fix that could be done? Sign Button author already said they can't do much
