[1.12.2] Mob spawns overflowing

I've been playing on a server with several others and we've noticed that there was an overflow of mobs, so much so that we had to turn off mob spawns.
Edit: Was a total idiot, server admin turned off spawns since Quark was overflowing the world.
We've figured out that Quark is the problem here
How did you reach this conclusion?
The others on the server have tested without Quark, and things seem to be spawning normally.
This doesn't necessarily mean the issue is with quark. It could very well
be another mod.

I recommend trying a more thorough test. I don't think anything in quark
would cause this to happen, so it's more likely some other mod breaks with
it somehow.
