Totem of Undying ignores whatever was placed in off-hand slot and whether elytra was equipped in a chestplate slot. Also armor gets equipped no matter if it was equipped before or not.

If there's no space in the inventory, additional items will just be dropped on the ground (or in the lava or the void). While that's an issue of its own, it's especially bad when elytra and off-hand slot items don't go where they're supposed to.

Modded items aren't supported. In this case it's a Gems & Jewels mod that uses Curios API to make rings equippable.

This!!!!! Even when already wearing elytra, it unequips it in place of a chestplate. R.I.P. full netherite gear and screw this feature

Hello! Quark's moved to 1.18 now-- unfortunately, this means that (unless your bug is critical and/or game-breaking), we're closing support for issues filed for versions prior to it (e.g. Quark on 1.16).

If your issue still occurs on 1.18, or if your issue happens to be rather critical (e.g. consistently crashing the game with no other mods present), please leave another note or open a new issue. Thanks for your cooperation!

Please reconsider. The whole purpose of totem of undying is to keep players' items safe until they can come take them back. Players often die in lava or in the void and that's obviously not a safe place to drop your items. I don't think many people would consider the fact they might not have enough inventory space as they would be excited to get their items back and just hit the totem multiple times in a row.

A great solution would be to make hitting the totem of undying do nothing if there is no inventory space.

When the Totem is spawned in lava, it's easy with a bit of preparation to drain or clear out the lava; when the Totem is spawned over the void, it's spawned high enough so that blocks can be placed beneath.

This makes it sound like it's super easy to just place blocks out in the void lol... I also think it would be great if the totem just didn't respond if inventory was full...

This could be an issue if you died with a looted piece armor with curse of binding you were going to use to repair/disenchant via crafting.
