Use Fabric instead of Forge as the modloader

Hi! I wonder why this mod is not fabric compatible and WHY the quark website doesn't say AT LEAST it is for forge only.
There is really at least one reason? the majority of people using the latest version of minecraft is now using fabric since it is much more fast to update and there are lots and lots of new mods just migrating to it, or newer mods for it.
I think that would be very nice if you port quark to fabric, or at least say why not in the website, because for now I found 0 reasons to continue on forge.
I downloaded it thinking it was fabric compatible and, that was a waste of time and space, I cannot play it with all my other mods, because it doesn't use fabric and it don't say anything about it.
thanks
Quark's base logic is fundamentally rooted in Forge's systems. It would be a very complicated and time consuming task to port to fabric which I do not have the capability to undertake right now.
I know this is a slighty old (and closed) issue, but i wonder if Vazkii and Violet Moon team were willing to collab with modders to fork this mod for Fabric. Like leave the hard work for them while doing "consulting" to the porting process
bump, what is the stance of Vazkii/Violet Moon about the fork question i made above? There is some folks in a small modding server on Discord that could be interested in port Quark to Fabric/Quilt, but they questioned me the stance about forking the mod and i didnt know what to answer...
