I shift clicked diamond leggings into an enchantment table, which instantly crashes the world. Upon reloading after using the Not Enough Crashes "back to title screen" button, ALL entities are completely invisible. The player, chests, items on the ground.
Restarting fixes that issue; however, now putting an item in an enchanting table in ANY way at all will crash the game in the same manner. I have only just updated Canary, so I will see if reverting that solves the issue. It's the only thing that's changed since I last enchanted anything, although I have yet to ever shift click into the inventory, so it may not be the problem.

Will report back
Backdated Canary and got the same crash. Report:

Trying to interact with the table to retrieve the legs will crash the game as well. Breaking the table is fine, I've done it many times now. I will note that with my current set of mods I have enchanted 2 sets of armor successfully and only now has this arisen. I have no other things to test because since the virus problem I've only updated Canary, and that was today.
If nothing is in the table it behaves normally, if that wasn't clear already. So if I break it and place it down so it loses the item(s) it will behave. Lapis, additionally, is perfectly fine to put in. I will note that the leggings I was enchanting DO have pending enchantments. Which I think is the culprit. Putting the steel hoe (middle of top picture) in, which has no enchantments, is ayokay and behaves as it should, picture provided. I can also take it out fine. I can also put the diamond boots in, which also have pending enchantments.
Thus, I believe shift clicking an item with pending enchantments into the matrix enchanting table will crash the game at any point that said item is used to interact with it.
