Beacon beam height issue with redirection option

Hello,
While trying to create a project involving beacons, I noticed what I believe to be a bug in the height of the beacon beam when the option for redirecting beacon beams with corrundum crystals is toggled on. Here is an image with the setting turned on:

It should be noted that the only mods enabled are quark and autoreglib. I should also add that the issue only presents when there is a transparent block, such as stained glass or a sign, in the path of the beacon.
These are taken immediately after one another, with the only difference being the setting toggled. If this is intended behavior, perhaps to prevent lag or something, I'm sorry for wasting your time. However, it is really interfering with my project (which needs the beams to go super high), and if there is a fix, that would be sweet! This is observed in Minecraft 1.19.2.
