crafting chests from non-vanilla wood does not work. mixing different types of wood results in a vanilla chest, however using all the same type of wood doesn't craft anything. Tested with skyris wood from BWG and maple wood from Autumnity. I understand this is an issue that has existed previously, however I assumed it to be fixed. Is there some other reason I would be running into this issue?

Is it possible to write an API to use a modder's own provided assets to make chest variants, by chance?
