When use forge 2492, can see placed item frames ok, when use for example 2542, item frames are invisible. When destroy block, item frame is dropped.

I'm able to produce this bug too. Only occurs with the glass item frame for me.

Working for me now with forge 2554.

Updating Forge solved it for me as well. :)

whenever i place any item frame at all, it comes up as the "missing texture" block, the purple/black one, not the pre-1.8 one. this fixes with the glass frame if i put something in it, but all the other item frames are unusable. i have forge 8.0.99.99
