Bug: Attack of the Mildly-Agressive X-Ray Squids

So, Squid Inking as a concept seems really cool, and I appreciate the addition and would rather not outright disable it, but I feel like their behaviour, AI, and ... raycasting? attack-pathing? need some ... tweaks.
I have built an underwater base in a large lake, and Squids keep inking me through my 2-block-thick walls, giving me blindness and a very slight urge to murder every cephalopod in a 50 mile radius.
They also do this without me attacking even once, nor any nearby creature attacking. It seems they are likely swimming straight into the side of my building (which has stair and slab detailings, unfortunately creating very very tiny air pockets) and getting stuck, suffocating, and for some reason attacking me as if I was the source of damage. I can confirm this behaviour by making a large waterless cube and waiting for them to swim inside, where they promptly suffocate and squirt ink at me.
As you can surely understand, this is of the utmost importance to be fixed immediately, because ink leaking through my walls and staining my floor and carpet would be ever so barely inconvienient.
Nah, but really, I know this is probably waaaay down there on the list of priorities, probably right above convincing Wiiv to make a technological texture pack for Botania, but it could definitely do with some tweaking in the future.
