Is there any other way to automate a dynamic destination for locomotives while this bug is there? I haven't found a way to automate inserting a specific golden ticket into a routing track either.
The only other option I see is creating a separate routing track for each destination and then setup some elaborate redstone system to route my locomotive over the correct one of them. But it seems a little excessive compared to being able automate providing the right ticket to a loader.

Unless I've overlooked some other way to automate a dynamic destination for my locomotive, then I'd like to +1 to the people who would like to see this bug fixed :)

Bumping this to create a public train station. On multiplayer servers with claims enabled, locomotive inventories cannot be accessed by players without a permission to the claim. Optimally, players would throw the ticket into a hopper which would filter into an item loader and be loaded into a train requiring no additional permissions.

You should probably use routing tracks instead.

It worked just fine in 1.7.10, I used it for my subway. Routing tracks can't be modified with automation.

Also it worked fine in 1.10. AKA you broke my test setup :|
