this happens in all versions as well.

@liach The method of fixing this will be to replace the single stretched block with multiple 1m X 1m Y 1m Z blocks, transformed at the Y-dimension if the liquid isn't supposed to fill the entire block space. That's going to require a significant rewrite of the code to support it.
