Hobbyist's Steam Engines are affixed to a HP boiler. They are not accepting steam. They only accept steam if a pipe is between the boiler and the engine. Just updated Railcraft and this started occuring.

Apply redstone?

I tried that. I had to destroy and replace the HP boiler block and it started working. Weird.
