I would like to do this to my wye tracks. When facing the north-south direction they work fine.

But, when facing east-west, it always turns out like this. I've tried everything but it keeps rearranging.

Switched REQUIRE space (straight tracks connected to each side) around them to function properly.

This is not a bug, but the result of normal vanilla track placement logic. There is no point overriding it because the switching logic REQUIRES the extra space.
