Hello,
I found that no zinc ore was generated on my world. I mined very long time at layer 30 in various biomes (Mesa in particular) without finding it. I checked and all "Zinc" ores are activated in the configuration files.

You have to find a mine. They are rare.

Future releases will include confige files for diffuse generation as well as mines.
