Tunnel Bore and Chest Carts

The Tunnel Bore isn't automatically putting items into carts or taking items out. Not sure if I am doing something wrong? It will stop for water/lava and the carts are linked with a crowbar. Is an Anchor Cart required?

Correction: It will take stuff OUT of the carts, but not put stuff in them.

This is probably a symptom of the Known Issue: "Vanilla Minecarts are not being replaced".

They will be replaced after a chunk reload, but not on placement like they should be. I still need to devise a solution for that.
