Game crashes after installing latest RailCraft 9.4.0. Confused, since I read in changelog that this update fixes latest BC api. SHRUG!
It's probably some other mod not supporting the new API. This what happens when you don't ship APIs.
Buildcraft said same thing. Feel like you guys just giving me the hand, lol. Well, guess I'm on my own on this one.
The log isn't really specific enough for me to point at a specific mod, and you have so many mods installed that I can't even begin to guess. The only thing I do know is that its not Railcraft.
Yeah, I'm going to start by installing only RailCraft & BuildCraft and work my way up until I can find the problem. I'll let you know my findings. Thanks for your input though. I really want to get the latest RailCraft working in my Modpack!
Just FYI, found the offending mod: Minefactory Reloaded, latest version. Funny thing though, found this by accident; I installed MFR into the 1.7.10 folder inside the mods folder and it loaded just fine. When I moved the MFR mod into the mods directory, it would crash.
IIRC the folders with the mc version number for their names are generally library folders and don't do much more than load an API (I think)
I have no idea what you just said, lol, but the same thing just happened to Binnies mod. Binnies mod was also crashing with the new RailCraft version, but I just dropped it into the 1.7.10 folder and it started up just fine. Now to see if it will load a world... yup loaded just fine.
dropping them in the 1.7.10 folder may fix the loading issue but i think that's because of the way the files in the 1.7.10 folder are added into MC's class path. MFR and Binnies mods probably still need to update to the new BC API
Get this, skyboy over at MFR's Github page says "Remove the buildcraft API from railcraft." and then closes my opened case. I was laughing my pants off when I got this first thing in the morning. Made my day.
