Hmmm. I like tracks that provide light. It would be neat to have a cart that refreshes the "glowstone coating" by driving over it. But I assume that would be very laggy to implement.

@Yopu How about wooden tie + glowstone dust -> glowing tie -> glowing railbed -> glowing track
(Only working for standard tracks, not for special versions)
Would provide continuous light level 15.

How about moving even further and add wooden tie+ redstone dust-> energized tie->energized railbed->energized track to have a track that constantly emits a redstone signal powering adjacent special tracks that react on redstone signal (e.g. booster tracks)

Hmm, as I started on this. I realized it would be neat if you could apply the "glowing" paint to any track. However I realize that would be difficult since railcraft doesn't override the default track.

I wouldn't mind making the Force Tracks glow, I'm sure I could apply the same hack that the signals use to my track renderer.
