After updating to 7.2, redstone seems to only works intermittently. I've been testing by simply placing a piston and putting a redstone torch in the block next to it. Sometimes it'll work, but after hopping about different parts of the map I've found it often doesn't.

Another further problem seems to be relating to fire - I couldn't light a nether portal and again, moving around seems to fix or break the issue.

Backdating to 7.1 works fine.

Basically what is happening is a block that cannot be moved is in front of the piston, you can make the piston move by putting a dirt block or something you know can be pushed in front of the piston.

EDIT: thanks for mentioning 7.1 works fine, I'm downgrading my server now.

Nothing was in front of the piston.

Visibly there is not. Its an invisible tile bug.

I see, had a proper read through the aforementioned issue - those are indeed the exact same symptoms.

The other guy has been waiting a while its great to know 7.1 works
