[1.5.2/RC 7.2.3.0] Track relayer cannot differentiate travel/rail directions (H.S. Transition track)

When I tried to covert an existing normal H.S. rail line to H.S. transition rail line, I encountered that the track relayer cannot differentiate it's travel direction (I was worried it would do, and yes, it did.) Specifically, the re-layed H.S. transition rail will always point to north and east, on lines traversing north-south and east-west, respectively, regardless of the cart's travel direction. This was confirmed in both SSP and SMP, and a fresh install of minecraft.jar, forge, and railcraft doesn't seem to fix this issue. The issue seems to be never brought up in the forums, issue-tracker, or in the compatibility section before (using search term 'relayer' or 'track').
On a further analysis, it seemed that the same behavior happens with most directional rails (such as boarding tracks and one-way tracks), although on one (and only one) occasion I have found that a boarding track was laid as I intended, but I could not reproduce this single correct behavior.
This was tested in a Windows 7 64-bit environment, with Java 6 and 7. No relevant errors exist in the ForgeModLoader-Client-0 log file that I could find or verify; testing with railcraft (and NEI) only and with 72 other mods yielded the same result. Tested with forge version 7.8.1.737.
Am I doing something wrong? Thank you for your help in advance.
