Having the same issue, the whole EMI (JEI analog) GUI is raised, and it as well kinda breaks the hotbar

Once again, you will have to provide more information. I already run EMI for testing another mod in every version it exists for and I have not come across this conflict for anything 1.16 to present. Being that case, it is likely another mod conflicting. But you will have to provide information to have any sort of resolution.

Hmm well looking through it I am not seeing anything that might cause it. Useless it is actually being caused by one of its libraries.

So I was also having the same issue and tried to narrow it down. Eventually I was able to narrow it down to Create: Northstar being the cause for me: https://www.curseforge.com/minecraft/mc-mods/create-northstar

Also, looks like this happens even with just JEI and not only EMI.
