I guess it isn't that surprising, since Cubic Chunks removes both y limits, and the beanstalk goes up to max-height, but when RandomThings and Cubic Chunks are both installed, the beanstalk never stops growing. It doesn't seem to cause lag (as far as I can tell), but it just sorta starts going up forever.
