The demon rats themselves are pretty balenced and dont deal alot of damage when you wear armor, but they spawn way too often in the nether, I find demon rats everywhere I go and they are able to kill me quickly even with iron armor and fire restitance. It also causes my game to lag when they are so many charging towards me.
