apparently rats do not interact with quark's chest variants at all. I set up a simple set of tests for gather and item transport & etc with different chest types, and the only ones the rats would activate on was the vanilla chest entity (and trapped variant)

can reproduce in the environment I use just using the Oops All Mods pack
