Symbolic links cause startup crash

Steps to reproduce:

Install Forge & ReAuth
Use a symbolic link for the game folder (may also happen if config is a symbolic link- not tested)
Try to start minecraft

My specific setup is that my multimc .minecraft (inside the instance folder) is a symbolic link pointing at another folder.
