The texture of the pipes would be modified to have the core (the part that does not change orientation regardless of direction) remain the same color, and the edges be recolored or indicated. When the tool is carried, you could right click on one of the edges (the directions the pipe is attached), and then right click on one of the faces of the core, to move the edge to that face.

Please implement this, the thing that holds this mod back is cables being constantly misaligned
