When I tested this mod, I used a solar panel array (9) to power the lava generator. At first, I didn't use the cable, and the lava generator was directly next to the solar panel array, which is no problem. Then I used the cable, and the fps was instantly reduced to about 10, and when I knocked out the cable, I restored the original frame rate.

The lava generator consume lava to produce energy, so it's actually normal.
But generators with cables cause fps reduction

The lava gen actually produces energy as LeQwouincy said so its quite funny that its being hooked up to solar panels.
But yeah cables in general do cause fps drops, but i have a plan to make them more efficient instead of the current method i'm doing.
