Wireless block extender GUI crash (1.7.2)

I opened the wireless block extender's GUI on my server to look what I can do with it, and after around 15 seconds with the GUI open the server crashed. I didn't get a crash log file but I'll try to reproduce and get one.
EDIT: It happens only when you hover on the sneaky functionality related buttons.

I'm unable to reproduce this, but I will add protection to hopefully fix the client side crash.

What blocks was the Wireless Block Extender next to?

It may help if I say that I connected the wireless block extender to an induction furnace from IC2.

A buildcraft wooden transport pipe with a gate on it, and a HV cable from IC2
