[1.12.1] Autocrafter freezing after clicking "Start"

Issue description:

After clicking Start the GUI freezes with Start grayed out and Cancel the only operating button.

What happens:

Admittedly this is going to sound re-donk-ulous. >.< Trying to make a max size Induction Matrix from Mekanism. It's 18x18x18 blocks. The case, all 1,736 of them, no problem. It's currently grinding away at the two Ultimate Induction Providers. I tried to start the 4096 Ultimate Induction Cells and, nope, it froze up after clicking Start. I even left it alone for a good 5 minutes or so just to be sure it wasn't just taking time calculating the resources. So I downed it to 1024, same, 512, same, 256 and my game crashed, no crash report though, it just quit dead. From experience, I should mention, it is nested. 4 basic to make 1 Advanced, 4 Advanced to make one Elite, 4 Elite to make one Ultimate. >.<

What you expected to happen:

With luck, even with a reduced batch size, that it crafts the required number of blocks.

Steps to reproduce:

  1. Create the patterns needed to make a basic, advanced, elite, and ultimate Induction Cells
  2. Stuff into an Autocrafter
  3. Attempt to craft enough ultimate induction cells to fill a max size Induction Matrix.
    ...

Version (make sure you are on the latest version before reporting):

  • Minecraft: 1.12.1
  • Forge: 14.22.0.2467
  • Refined Storage: 1.5.17

Does this issue occur on a server? [yes/no]

No idea, I only play in a single player world

Ok. So I just tried a more reasonable 25 (3x3x3 minus 2 for the required providers) and it's going so far but it froze up Minecraft for several minutes until it allowed me to click Start then several more minutes after clicking Start. O.o But patience won out in the end, it's crafting. peers This might take a while. And, yeah, when I was more awake I ran the numbers and was unpleasantly shocked. >.< To quote Ashens "So, yeah, that's a thing." I think, for sanity sake, I am just going to have to either do this in small batches of 20 or an elaborate setup using RFTools Crafters. Funly enough, my DE Energy Sphere, Tier 7, stores more than this thing at max. But, for now, I think I'll close this out, if you want to make the system more robust for those of us who follow Direwolf20-ism (Motto: Everything is automatable, just takes creativity and a bunch of mods) and are crazier than normal, go for it. :D

Edit: Oh! For those who are curious and too lazy to go punch numbers into a calculator, 4094 (18x18x18, 4096, minus 2 for the Providers) Ultimates need 262,016 Basics, each Basic has 4 Energy Tablets in the recipe so 262,016 Basics need 1,048.064 Energy Tablets, each Energy Tablet has two Enriched Alloys in it's recipe, so that's 2,096,128 Enriched Alloys. Yeah... Complete insanity, going to have to treat it like an old school HV Solar build.
