Chunk Resetting

Issue description:

This is gonna be a long post, as i'm only 90% sure Refined storage is to blame.

One of my chunks in my Stoneblock world, seem to have taken permanet damage from containing my Refined storage controller for a long period of time. It began while the controller was still in the chunk, at which point any and all changes made to the chunk would revert back to before those changes were made, when the game was loaded up again. Analyzeing the sources of TPS lag, with Lag Goggles, i found that the Controler was generating a tick delay of 10000+ at all times, and while crafting, especially big requests, the tick delay could become up to 100 times larger.

After the problem startet i moved the controller, which was the only block i could succesfully break without it reverting, to its own chunk, where the only other tile entities was the cables connecting it to the system, powering it through a phantomface. After the move, the problematic chuck became more workable, but not repaired, as i can only change a few blocks (5-10) per time i open the world. If i change more blocks then that, it will revert back to how it was before the changes, on the next load of the world. The problem became very apparent as of this weekend when i decided to swap over to AE2, which ment i wanted to run new cabled through the chunk.

The controller that stood in the chunk was using 7000+ Rf/t, as my system was colossal, having a 13 * 7 * 13 (XYZ) Reborn Storage multiblock crafter. along with 16+ connections in to Compact Machines.

Will later today show pictures of the revert in action.

What happens:

The chunk reverts back to how it was before changes was made, on world load.

What you expected to happen:

I expect any changes made to the chunk to still be around after loading up the world.

Steps to reproduce:

Unsure at this moment, but if it can be reproduced then, the chunk i moved the controller to should have similar problems now, which i will check later today, when i get home

Version (make sure you are on the latest version before reporting):

i'm using the modpack Stoneblock, version 1.0.31 at the moment

  • Minecraft: 1.12.2
  • Forge: 14.23.5.2768
  • Refined Storage: 1.6.11

Does this issue occur on a server? [yes/no]

Is playing single player, opening the world to LAN, as i'm playing with my Little Brother.

So upon further attempts to build the cables i wanted there, i tried to remove my thermal expansion machines, and in doing so, all changes to the chuck where saved, and stayed there. But as soon as i placed back the thermal expansion machines, the issue came back, this time however only one, as the issue reverted the chunk back to before i had placed the thermal expansion machines down, removing the source of the issue for good at this location. Time to test my thermal expansion machines inside my compact machine...

Before Changes:
2018-12-04_15 55 49

After Changes:
2018-12-04_15 58 30

After Relog:

After a bit of testing i can say that the chunk to which i moved my controller, does not have the same issues. but the controller only stayed there for less then 1/4 of the time the controller where in the other chunk, seen in the pictures. The controller was placed in the wall up against the thermal expansion machines whose backs can be seen in the images.
