Filter item is unable to filter items by specifically the Industrial Foregoing mod

Describe the bug

Industrial Foregoing items cannot be matched with the "mod filter" setting, causing a perfectly fine configured filter to fail to display the intended items.

I suspect that something about the way that IF describes its items might be incompatible with the mod filter setting here. It was suggested to me by others that the mod categorizes all its items into separate categories and make them appear as separate mods, where they really are just one and the same mod.

How can we reproduce this bug or crash?

  1. Open JEI and type @industrial in the search bar
  2. Setup a basic network, and insert some of that mod's items along with vanilla items
  3. Get a filter
  4. Turn on the "Mod filter" setting and the NBT setting off, leave it on Whitelist mode
  5. Drag any Industrial Foregoing item from JEI into a filter slot
  6. Drag the same item into the tab icon slot, and type something in the textfield
  7. Put the filter into a (crafting) grid
  8. Click the new filtering tab and notice it doesn't show any items

(the same steps can be followed for Refined Storage items, and they would show up properly on the filtering tab)

Did you check the mod ID of the manual?

What exactly do you mean, where? I checked the namespaced ID of the item, and it says "industrialforegoing:...", exactly like all the other items of that mod.

I tried other items too (i.e. the pity machine frame), the problem is not with the book item.
