Describe the bug

I'm playing a skyblock pack (Create on a Potato - Ultimate 1.19.2-4.10.0) at the bottom of the world with no bedrock. I built a line of cables and got it all hooked up, but the controller only saw 5 cables, the 5 directly beneath it. After some diagnosing, I realized if I had the cables at y-64 (The bottom most block, pretty sure that's the right coord) then nothing could "see" them. I moved the cables up 1 block and it saw them again.

If a cable at y-63 is connected to one at y-64, the controller can see that 1 cable, but it won't see the other ones in the line.

How can we reproduce this bug or crash?

Build a system at the bottom of the world, with the controller a couple blocks higher than a line of cables at the bottom.
