Search Box Mode Side Button is bugged

Describe the bug

There are 2 bugs:

  1. Changing the side button to any autoselected mode causes the grid to not be closeable but after changing it back to any non-autoselect mode it can be closed
  2. Sometimes after pressing this side button the hover effect and hover text is still shown even though the cursor has moved away (my cursor is currently on that white empty inventory slot)

How can we reproduce this bug or crash?

  1. Place any grid which has the "Search box mode" side button
  2. Change the side button to any autoselected mode (For example "JEI synchronized (autoselected)")

What Minecraft version is this happening on?

Minecraft 1.20.1
