Bug Report: Functional Storage Controller Not Working with External Storage

Description

I am experiencing an issue with Refined Storage and Functional Storage.
When connecting the external storage to the Storage Controller, Refined Storage fails to connect and the items do not appear in the grid.
Note: The drawers are linked properly with the Storage Controller and do contain items, confirming that the issue is isolated to the external storage connection.

Expected Behavior

Refined Storage should successfully connect to the Storage Controller from the mod Functional Storage and display all items in the grid.

How can we reproduce this bug or crash?

1. Ensure that both Refined Storage and Functional Storage (version functionalstorage-1.21.1-1.4.2) are installed.
2. Set up a Refined Storage Controller.
3. Set up a Functional Storage Controller with drawers, ensuring the drawers are properly connected and contain items.
4. Connect an External Storage Bus to the Functional Storage Controller.
5. In the refined storage grid, no items are being displayed.
