There's also salt item in that mod, crafted form ores or by evaporating water, used to enhance foods. The two salt items can be made one since they're simply ingredients without special function.

There's forge:salts tag which the other mod used in their recipe. I'll try to make an external datapack to see if this works, and then create a PR if possible.

Based on some searches on GitHub, I am seeing a mix of forge:salts and forge:salt. AFAIK, Forge doesn't have that tag built in. I would be fine if Salt had a tag with their own namespace, but seems the community hasn't agreed on a common standard.

...there's also c:salt and c:salts, just to make things a bit harder. 😅

This lack of standardizing is pretty annoying on the server I'm playing in, as both Create: Food and Mekanism have their own salt units as well.
A good initial compromise, though, could be to add your dough item to c:wheat_dough which is already used by Create: Food and Farmer's Delight at the very least.
