[1.16.5] Crash when clicking 'skin' button using the [F10] preferences menu

crash-2021-05-10_17.31.55-client.txt

Upon opening the in-game regeneration preferences menu (via F10) and attempting to select a different skin, Minecraft immediately crashes. I am currently running an instance with only the most up-to-date version of forge for 1.16.5 and the Regeneration mod. Incidentally, no skins are being downloaded to the 'Regeneration Data' folder in my Minecraft directory either, though if that is usually prompted by clicking the 'skin' button in the preferences menu, that would make sense. I have uploaded my [C:\Users\AppData\Roaming.minecraft\crash-reports] crash log. If the crash log is unreadable, or if you need something else, let me know; I'm new to GitHub, and am not a modder myself (though I frequently use mods) or knowledgable when it comes to coding, so you might have to dumb it down for me. Hope this helps.

I'll be sure to do something like that

You had no skins in either of the directories

Oh, interesting, I wouldn't have guessed that was behind it, should be really easy to rectify that though. My apologies that it was a dumb mistake on my part that caused the crash, and thanks for clarifying the problem. Maybe for future idiot-proofing purposes it might be a good idea to put a disclaimer on the curseforge download page that this kind of crash happens if you don't have any skins in the folder. Otherwise, I don't know how difficult or time-consuming it would be to do, but setting up the preferences menu to return with a text box informing users that they have no skins, and should find some and upload them to the Regeneration Data folder would more solidly stop anyone else from making my same mistake. Either way, thanks for your time.
