becoming a time lord doesn't consume regenerations stored in the arch

if you become a time lord using a full chameleon arch it will still have it's full 12 regenerations in it after you use it, since you're no longer considered a time lord after you run out of regenerations this means you get infinite regenerations as long as you have the arch

commented

@HoldYourWaffle I think you wrote the Arch originally, mind taking a look?

commented

Will do, although I don't fully understand what's going on here.
@lag42 So the arch doesn't get damaged if you use it while not being a timelord?

commented

@HoldYourWaffle that is exactly the case

commented

oof

commented

Upon further investigation, the whole arch and by extend the 'life' counter & capable flag seems to be broken.

I could go in and fix it, but if we decide on another way of receiving regens that would be a bit pointless.

commented

Could you edit the item so that it just gets destroyed when you become a timelord?
I'd do it myself, but I've just got home

commented

Maybe not destroyed but empty? The arch is supposed to be able to make you human as well, isn't it?

commented

We never really use it for that purpose, but that's a good idea, let's roll with that

commented

So that's basically a 2 state version of what we have now.
No idea why I didn't do that the first time...

@SandedShoes should I do it or do you want to?

commented

Do it for me

commented

Yes sir

commented

@SandedShoes i built a jar with your fix and it didn't work

commented

Weird, it works in my workspace
I'll make waffle look into it

WAFFLE!! @HoldYourWaffle

I mean, we could brainstorm other ways regenerations can be regained

commented

Whispering extremely rare space time cracks.

Could have them generate in villages and in caves. Approaching one as a time lord gives +1-3 regenerations.

commented

@SandedShoes i rolled back a couple commits in my copy of your repository to get back to your fix and it didn't work, waffle's fix did the trick though

commented

Huh, guess I can close this then

commented

Wait come to think of it, this works perfectly on my PC
@lag42 Are you sure you compiled the correct branch and were up to date?

commented

Should I still do the 2 state thingy?

commented

Nah
