So I was thinking. When you resist regeneration for 900 seconds (15 minutes), after that time, you immediately transition into the critical phase of resisting regeneration right? But instead of immediately just, going from phase 1 to 2, I was thinking maybe after 6 to 7 minutes or resisting, the effects of the critical phase of regeneration slowly starts to build up and getting more intense over time. Of course, this is configurable.

When said effects are "maxed out". Only then will you truly enter the critical stage of the state of grace, taking damage over time. But what you see before that happens, is the critical phase effects slowly building up, making your vision more blurry, red borders appearing slowly etc, as well as a far smaller chance in getting damaged. This is due to the pain slowly building up, damaging you more as time goes on after the 6th or 7th minute mark. This is pretty much your regeneration telling you: "Hurry up, you don't have much time!"
